I was having a moment. Well, I was having a few moments. I may be hormonal- after all the new moon is a couple of day away and my cycle has aligned with the lunar phases. That being said, I have been restless and short tempered the past couple of hours. I can’t concentrate. I actually cooked, which is not something I like to do, as an avoidance tactic. I am frustrated with my final class of my master’s degree, the teacher, the assignments… all of it. I would never just quit but boy am I aggravated. Then I asked my husband a question and his response aggravated me mostly because I am just AGGRAVATED- HA- but also because his response didn’t help me in any way. Haha, honestly, not a good time for me to engage in discourse with anyone right now.
So, I decided, hey, why don’t I pull a card? Maybe I’ll pick something interesting, relevant, write about it. Yes, it’s avoidance- I should be doing homework but I am so distracted right now anyway I wouldn’t be able to focus. I decided on Rebecca Campbell’s Starseed Oracle, one of my fav’s and one you’ve seen before…. and THIS is the card I choose. Earth. School. Read that again. Earth School. I mean- I know people poo poo this sort of thing but what are the freaking odds that of ALL the cards in this 53 card deck I would pull out THIS one? I have never pulled this card before for any reading. But tonight? This is the one I choose. I stopped believing in coincidence years ago. This card has some meaning and is definitely relevant.
I should tell you. I am a BIG fan of education. I happen to really like taking classes, any classes, but I am a little nutty about accumulating degrees and certifications. But I have been in a funk over this class for a while. So here I am being reminded that despite all of this stress and restlessness I am being called to stay the course because in the end it is all about my soul growth. The book that accompanies the card states, “[i]f you pull this card while you’re going through a difficult time, you’re being prompted to remember that your soul came here to grow and learn,” and “if you can find a way to grow and soften your heart through the highs and lows, your soul is most definitely growing” (Campbell, 2020). This was literally the message I need to hear. I am being called to grow and learn so I must stay the course and instead of resisting all of this I need to embrace it and understand the necessary growth this class, and all of the future classes I am going to take, will ultimately bring me. I know that this class is just the end of another phase for my education. I know that I am not finished. I have to stay the course and really center myself so I can continue to grow so I can fulfill my soul’s purpose.
Are you thinking about going back to school? Taking a certification course? Doing an independent study? Do you have an opportunity to learn and grow through some incarnation of “Earth School?” If so, and you’re reading this post, then I would venture to say that the answer is yes! That perhaps it is your destiny and your soul is pushing you toward the path toward its purpose- toward growth and knowledge. This is a big deal and if this card is affirming something you are already considering, and idea you’ve been toying with, then don’t you be foolish and discount this as coincidence. This is God’s way, the Universe, the Creator’s way, of getting your attention, so take heed, take that leap of faith and invest in yourself. It truly is meant to serve a higher purpose. Remember, you don’t have to do what I did and spend a small fortune on degrees. You can do your OWN version, take small classes about topics and subjects that inspire you and lead you on your own soul growth path. Often, when we are called to embark on these adventures, we talk ourselves out them… there’s never enough money, never enough time, always something that has to be done first…. Stop doing that and take the chance. You may find this is exactly what you’ve been waiting for your whole life!!
