Hey everyone! Sorry for the late hour posting the daily card pull. I am in school and very close to getting my Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling so I had to finish an assignment today! Additionally, I started working on some crystal grid abundance work that I will tell you about in a different post… SO EXCITED! I also started working on herbal tinctures to get ready for the upcoming cold and flu season. I made a lemon balm tincture which is good for anxiety and stress as well as headaches and sleep. I don’t know about you but I could definitely use that. I also made a mullein tincture to help alleviate cough, cold, viral, and upper respiratory symptoms. Just in time for the upcoming season! SO… that is why it has taken all day to pull my card for us!
Today’s card is from The Starseed Oracle by Rebecca Campbell. This is another beautiful oracle deck for all the old souls out there who may have never completely felt at home in their own skin or even here on Earth. Today’s card i Perspective- “None of this matters. Zoom out. Common good.”
This card is always resonant and I think it is especially apropos for the season of history we are all collectively experiencing. It is easy, too easy, to get so caught up in our own perspective that we exclude the possibility of almost anything else. When we confine ourselves to a narrow view of thinking, even when we consider ourselves open minded, we wind up limiting ourselves to new people, new experiences, new ideas, and possibly new ways of thinking. There is this idea that our perspective is truth- and while we may consider that our individual truth- it does not mean that it is THE truth. Objective truth exists but I don’t believe that human beings can grasp it so we have our own individual perspectives each formed and developed by our experiences, our feelings, our education and other influences that affect us. The world, however, is not so much black and white, or even gray… and our perspectives tend to be singularities- specific to us and therefore very one dimensional and uni-colored…. Instead, the world, and all of we crazy people in it, is a rainbow, and truth is the light that flows through that rainbow creating unimaginable, glorious, colorful beauty. A stunning ray of absolute truth flowing through each of our flawed perspectives. This is a time of great human potential if we can only put aside our stubbornly strict adherence to our own small minded, lackluster, limited perspectives and open ourselves up to the rainbow… Then, the world can radically change into something more beautiful than any of us could ever have been imagined.
That being said, on a personal level, if this card resonates with you at a soul level, it is time for you to take a step back. It is time to look at the whole picture. Perhaps this is the moment for you to stop wasting time fighting over ideas and concepts, things that are dividing and separating you from others, and instead communicate in such a way to find common ground and unity. Stepping back and looking at your life, your world, and your worldview from a different perspective isn’t easy. We are each and all very comfortable in our ways and thought patterns but when those tired, insistent, self righteous perspectives create dissonance in our lives it is definitely time to at least consider widening your world, shifting your perspective, and nurturing peace instead of discord.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes. You aren’t alone in this. We all need a lesson in perspective and that’s hard because opening our perspective is an exercise in humility. If we can set aside our egos, and do the required soul work necessary, imagine the walls that would crumble and what we could build in its absence.
