Daily Card Pull- Saturday 9/5/20: The Seven Star Sisters

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by! It is a stunningly beautiful day here in Southeastern Pennsylvania and you can already feel the cool undertones of autumn in the air. The sun is bright, the sky is blue, and the temperature is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activity. Yesterday I spent the day doing homework after my late night blogging about ritual and have been feeling a need to make something today so I am baking some banana nut bread. The bananas were getting a little soft and I hate to waste so here we have two loaves of banana bread baking in the oven. I am not a huge baker but when I get into the mood to bake I can’t seem to stop! Hahaha… What are you doing today? I hope it’s just as perfect a day where you are.

Today’s card pull is from Rebecca Campbell’s Starseed Oracle and the card is The Seven Star Sisters- “Birthing creations. Tapestry of life. Expression.” This card is all about being creative. We are created beings and image bearers of our Creator. Because of that- we are called, pulled, and destined to create. It is time to express yourself. Something amazing is trying to be birthed into the world and you are the conduit for that creation.

I know that as we get older, unless we go into creative careers, we put our creativity on the back burner. Even artists struggle with this sometimes as they become complacent in their creative process and feel a need to change the pace, perspective, or even their artistic medium. The fact is, we are born to create and ignoring that part of who we are can interfere with living our best life and embracing our soul’s purpose. We all weren’t meant to be artists or writers but maybe you are itching to start a new business, bake or cook up new recipes and record them for posterity, take a class on quilting…. heck maybe it’s time to have that baby… creation is creation after all. Whatever your creative “baby” may be, this card is encouraging you to develop your idea and manifest that idea into reality.

Don’t be afraid if it’s not good enough. You will never know if you don’t try. And it isn’t always about what other people think, and you need not present it to anyone for approval… it’s all about you and creating something that is representative of you no matter what it is, how you do it, or what anyone may think. Whether it’s a poem, a memoir, a short film, a watercolor, a song, an outfit, a blanket, a new living room or bedroom design, a recipe, a birdhouse or a baby… now is the time to act. Let any fear that you may not be good enough go, and let that creativity flow. You have nothing at all to lose and everything to gain. You never know what amazing new path you may find yourself on as a result. Maybe this is creation will turn your life around or impact someone in some unexpected way. Embrace your creative nature and bring some joy into the world!
