Hey everyone! How are you? I hope your week has been kind to you and that you have been productive! I started my new position at the high school as a paraprofessional for Emotional Support. With all the crazy changes due to covid the kids aren’t even in the building yet and we won’t see them until Tuesday and even then- only through Zoom! Crazy times. Schools without children are just sad buildings. Kids really bring their environment to life with their remarkable spirit and I am hopeful that we can resume normal life again soon. What is so terrific about kids, even the older ones who become a little jaded or have struggles, is that they are still closer to their truer selves than most adults. They know how to shine and to be who they are without apology…. it makes me sad to see that fade as people age and conformity reigns.
The card I pulled today is from my BRAND NEW oracle/book The Illustrated Crystallary by Maia Toll. I HIGHLY recommend Maia’s body of work (which I will also utilize in my daily card pulls soon!). She can be found on Facebook and through maiatoll.com. She is pretty magical and a well educated herbalist, teacher, and magic maker. Definitely check her out. So, the card I pulled from this beautiful new installment is Lepidolite- “Breathe in you trueness.” The card itself is whimsical. The unicorn bedazzled in pink and purple- a true princess dream.
Lepidolite brings us back to who we really are, our purpose, and calls us to be the star in our own lives- much like those amazing kids I mentioned above. It restores balance and stabilizes you so that you can weather life’s storms and rock them out in spite of their sometimes violent nature. Lepidolite helps you to calmly look at your life and decide if you need to see things differently- if you need to DO things differently- than you have done so far- and to make the decision to face needed changes with confidence.
It may be time to look at the story of your life and decide what to let go of in order to write a new story. What is the life you want to create? Who are you? The real you is in there- waiting to burst out in all your glory. You are more than a one dimensional figure living a lackluster life. But if that is how you feel right now- this card is telling you to reevaluate. It’s time to make a change that requires you to embrace many of the characteristics of your personality that left behind whether on purpose or just because you forgot because life got too busy, too heavy, too stressful, too whatever.
Take a deep breath. Lepidolite in all it’s purple and lavender glory is calming. It helps restore your ability to see- to cut through time, space, and all the barriers you put up, in order to restore your sense of true self and wholeness of being. When we forget the magic of who we were, our younger selves, our child selves, we lose so much of who we can be today. We don’t have to wear unicorns and glitter, or capes and masks, (although, I wouldn’t be against it- shine on your crazy diamond!) to embrace the irrepressible, indomitable, independent spirit that still beckons from deep within. Be you. There is still time to fully be and find joy and peace in your own skin. Shakespeare had it right in Hamlet when he wrote- “This above all- to thine own self be true.” Be true to yourself so you can gift that amazing spirit to the rest of the world in all you glittery, magical, splendor.
