Saturday, Surrender Series- Day 5

Hey everyone! Today has been busy for me but I didn’t want to miss a day in my Surrender Series. I am inspired after the experiences I’ve had so I chose this card to write about. I participated in a local event today and it was, simply, magical. I met some amazing people I would not have met had I not worked the event, and got to reconnect with a some people I had not seen in a while. I found a potential practice client for my life coaching certification course, a couple of wonderful women who may attend the group I have to run in order to finish my master’s degree, I met a sweet young man with a heart so young and beautiful, vibrant and silly, that I know I won’t soon forget him- I look forward to his go-cart video, mom, if you happen to be reading this! All of my readings were new clients which was fabulous. I loved connecting with different people and like usual, each interaction taught me something new. Once again, I found myself overwhelmed by the magic of who these people are and the light and brilliant color they brought into my life. One of my clients had a shine so bright, a true rising star, that it was clear that she was anointed by our Creator and I am humbled that she came across my path. Today was magic because the people all around me were full of their own remarkable brand of magic and wiling to share that magic with me.

As we make our way through the days that make up the time of our lives, we often get caught up in the mundane. We get up, get ourselves out of bed, perform our morning ritual, do whatever it is we do to fill our days- work, school, parenting, then go home, go through our evening ritual and go to bed. Wash, rinse, repeat. None of this is bad, don’t get me wrong, and I’m not saying anyone needs to change their routine, their lives (unless you WANT to!) I’m only pointing out how the monotony of our day to day can distract us from the magic that goes on in and around us all the time. It is usually only when something our of the ordinary occurs that we recognize the vibrancy of another soul, when the unexpected happens and we have no choice but to take notice. I guess what this card is telling us is to begin paying attention to extraordinary that exists among the ordinary. I have a feeling that when we do that we will begin to see the world around us differently.

Perhaps we need to start to appreciate our inner magic. What I mean by that is this- you are different. You are unique. There is no one in this world that is exactly like you. You have a personality that shines different from everyone else; you have talents that no else has quite like you; you express yourself in your own unique way; you love like no one else; your perceptions are uniquely yours and no one experiences the world quite the way you do. This is your magic and it is this magic that blends with the magic of every one else to create something beautiful. Really, this magic is staggering in its beauty.

I see time as a wondrous tapestry that is constantly in motion. I have mentioned this briefly before but I believe we all contribute to the tapestry of time, each soul a colored thread woven intricately and perfectly together. This tapestry of time, divinity, and human experience glows with spectacular light, as our magic weaves through, in, out and around one another. Our magic is kinetic, it is thriving, it is life itself. How could we have stopped seeing it? How can we see it again? I think it’s about holding space with one another and ourselves. It’s taking stock, every now and then throughout our day, to really see the magic that exists in ourselves, to acknowledge it, and how we work that magic by how we impact the world around us. It’s observing other people’s magic as it ebbs and flows between them. It’s in the song you’re humming, the smile you offer a stranger, and the one they return. The magic is in the hello’s you exchange with random strangers and the child’s hand you hold. It’s in the poem you write; the painting you painted; the way the song moved you to tears; the emotion you felt as you watched the flower bloom. It’s also in the bleeding, the tears, and the sadness. The magic is everything.

I experienced magic on full display today. It bounced around us as we sold our goods, did our readings, and worked our energy to help build up other people. It was reciprocated by every customer in some way. Their magic became a part of mine today and I am better for it. It was a reminder to take stock the best I can, and to every day make it a point to pay attention, to love a little more, to honor my uniqueness and yours. To realize the magic of every day and every human being I come across including my own.

If you feel you have forgotten your magic go find a mirror and really look at yourself. Dive into the sparkle of your eyes or the tear falling down your face. Now see, precious sister or brother of my soul, that this is part of your magic. What you take for granted is your gift to the world. Share it. Nourish it. Let it fill you, breathe it out and then fill yourself up with it again. Your magic exists all around you. It will never, ever, leave. Your magic is important to me and to all of us who have lived before, live today, and will live in the future. Your magic is forever a part of the greatest story ever told.

Take care and thanks for stopping by!
